Death valley is a good place to go and learn.
There is Bad Water Basin and a scenic place called Artist Drive that you should add to your trip check list.
There are so many other thing to do, too, and getting to be outside is the best part!
At Bad Water Basin we saw lots of salt and we also saw a sign that said: Below Sea Level .
We carved our names in the salt and it felt amazing!
On Artist Drive, we saw curved canyons and lots of pretty colors.
It really did look like an artist's palette.
If you do decide to make a trip out to Death Valley, check out the Death Valley National Park Visitor Center because the rangers will share helpful information with you to keep you safe.
You can find out where to hike, what to see and what to do there.
Remember to take lots of water, have plenty of snacks and fuel, and be careful how long you stay outside if it's really hot.
My favorite time of year to visit Death Valley was in the winter because it was cool enough to be outside and enjoy it without getting dehydrated.
Also, plan your trip so that you can see the stars at night. It is one of the best places to see stars and formations without light pollution in the area!
