Summer Fun with my Family: What can I do this summer?

It’s summer family fun time!

The kids are excited but you may be asking yourself:

What fun things can I do this summer with my family?

Summer fun is here!

And these ideas work for the whole family!

We traveled full time with our kids on an epic adventure with our truck and fifth wheel for 3 years so we have learned a lot of incredible things to do as a family!

I’m going to post some of our top 10 adventures from around the country:

Visit the Grand Canyon and see the sunrise with hot cocoa

Hike in Sedona, Arizona and swim in the creek

Go blueberry picking in Oregon

Have a campfire and picnic on the beach at Cannon Beach in Oregon

Go to Green Bluff near Spokane, Washington and visit the farms for festivals and fresh fruits and vegetables

Take the beautiful scenic drive along Lake Superior to Canada for lunch and visit Grand Portage State Park and the Heritage Visitors Center at Grand Portage. There are plenty of waterfalls, lighthouses, and places to have a picnic or dip your toes in the water

Go fishing at Port Isabel off the dock across from South Padre Island

Hike, swim, and Fish at Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri and catch a show

Swim and camp at beautiful Lake Michigan

Visit Hershey, Pennsylvania and go to Hershey’s Chocolate World and take the local tour in the Hershey Story Museum

There are so many wonderful places to see and fun things to do across our beautiful country!

I am continuing to add to our blog so come grow with us!

If you find yourself unable to travel, you can always set up some camping time in your living room or backyard.

Watch some YouTube videos about a state you want to visit someday.

Do some research about places you can see in that state, parks you can play at, restaurants you would like to eat at, and any museums, libraries, historical sites, or other things you learn that you can add to a notebook for future reference.

This is a great way to bring experiences and places to life right from your home!
